Visiting Jewish Children's Museum

We visited the Jewish Children's Museum at 792 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11213 on the last day of Hanukkah January 1, 2017.

There are six exhibits on the third floor Exploring Jewish Life namely: 6 Days of Creation, Shabbat, Jewish Holidays, Kosher Supermarket, Kosher Kitchen and World of Good. On the fourth floor there are nine themes namely: Patriarch and Matriarch, Sojourn in Egypt, Early Years as a Nation, Land of Israel, Sages through the Ages, Alley of Courage, Jewish World Today, The Era of Messiah, and Noah's Ark Toddler Area. There are also Miniature Golf, Gallery of Games, and Rock Climbing Wall in the fifth floor. We made our own doughnut in the Family Eating Area in the second floor. My daughter even painted  Hanukkah in a canvas in the Lower Lever of the museum.

Visiting the Sciencenter

We visited the Sciencenter at 601 1st St, Ithaca, NY 14850 on our way to see Niagara Falls during the Memorial Day weekend.

We Explore the Mars and Stars exhibits, looked at replicas of the human body at Health and Wellness exhibit. We browsed through the Saltonstall Animal Room. My daughter as fascinated with the musical stairs. We also checked out the Science playground outdoor.

Visiting Children's Museum of the East End

Children's Museums in Georgia

If you want to take a road trip to Disney World but are looking for interesting places to see along the way you can stop over children's museums along the way.  You can relax while your child spends excess energy. Plus, she or he have something to look forward to during the drive. We usually start in the early morning then check out children's museum in the afternoon, check in at a hotel near the museum then drive again in the morning.

Imagine It, The Children's Museum of Atlanta is a nice stop-over in the state of Georgia. My daughter had fun loading balls using pulleys, levers, screws, inclined planes, wheel and axle, and wedges and operating the crane.

Another children's museum that we are interested to visit is Interactive, Neighborhood for Kids, Inc. in Gainesville, Georgia. Just want to check out the full-sized aircraft, the vet clinic and see how to create pottery in Fired Pottery store among others.

KidSenses is a nice Children's Museum in North Carolina.  My daughter had fun running around and using her imagination.  She really enjoyed role playing in the various rooms and being everything from a princess to a dentist. 

Another great Children's Museum in North Carolina is Greensboro Children's Museum.  My daughter really loved climbing in and out of the real cars and trucks that were on display and especially the plane. 

Visiting Children's Museum of Manhattan

We visited the Children's Museum of Manhattan during Mother's day and it is worth the traffic. The first floor is like a museum about the body.

The second floor and the third floor are like play center. There is a Dora and Diego exhibit on the 2nd floor with living room, sleeping area, the rainbow bridge, etc.

On the 3rd floor there is an interactive dragon that kids can feed with letters. There are also different transportation vehicles like the MTA bus, yellow can and even a fire truck that children can go in and out of.

There is a 15% discount on Central Parking garage located at West 83rd Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues. We validated our parking ticket in the reception desk before we stepped out and we only paid $20 for a little more than three hours.

Children's Museums

The NY Hall of Science in 47-01 111th Street, Queens, NY is our favorite we go there every year. My daughter just love the place. It is a good place to go when it is raining although they have out door playground as well.

Brooklyn's Children's Museum in 145 Brooklyn Avenue, Brooklyn New York. Totally Tots exhibit for children 5 and under seems interesting.

Children's Museum of Manhattan in the Tisch Building, 212 West 83rd Street, New York, New York has different exhibits for all ages.

If your children are into pretend play, they will enjoy Playmobil toys in The World to Play exhibit and Little West Side in the Creativity Lab. They will also enjoy Adventure with Dora and Diego, PlayWorks and City Splash.

The Staten Island Children's Museum in 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, New York offers different interesting exhibits like Portia's Playhouse, Ladder 11, House About It, among other things.

The Children's Museum of the Arts in 103 Charlton St., New York between Hudson & Greenwich streets where you and your children can explore art materials in WEE Arts.

The Long Island Children's Museum in 11 Davis Avenue, Garden City, New York is a nice place to visit. My daughter enjoyed making big bubbles. We enjoyed listening to our own recording in Communication Station too. But Tot Spot was really a big hit. She enjoyed sitting inside the toy crane and in the motorcycle in the gas station corner.

This summer we planned on going to Imagine That A New Jersey Children's Museum located in 4 Vreeland Rd., Florham Park, New Jersey. Heard from friends that it is interesting.

We're also planning on checking out the Wonderland exhibit in Please Touch Museum located in Fairmount Park 4231 Avenue of the Republic(formerly North Concourse Drive) Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Some friends also visited that place and we heard they had a blast,

Visiting Children's Museum in NY

As a parent we are suppose to continually expose our children to new experiences to enrich their vocabulary, and build connections between their brain synapses which is very important in raising intelligent children.

The NY Hall of Science in 47-01 111th Street, Queens, NY is a great children's museum in New York.  It has a lot to offer to young inquisitive minds.

Visiting the Long Island Children' s Museum in Garden City is worth the trip!

There is a colorful mural of a collage of children's drawn faces on the wall outside the museum .

There are a lot of hands on interactive galleries but my toddler's favorite is the Tot Spot. We can hardly take her away from the toy crane truck. She likes getting in and out of it, sitting on the seat  and pretending she is on a ride. It's very popular though so we have to pry her away from it any time someone wants to try it. She also tried riding the motorcycle in the gas station in the corner. It is really cute that you can pretend pumping gas into the motorcycle! There is also an enclosed area that make children feel that they are inside a bus there are even a costume of bus driver's uniform for those who wants to try it.

There is also bubble fun in another gallery (although it can be slippery so use extreme caution when everything is covered with soap and bubbles).

We enjoyed seeing ourselves on TV in the Communication  Station.

Recording our voice and hearing the output in the radio room is certainly fun!

 Spinning the big wheel requires a little effort for our little darling but she get the hang of it.

There is a wall of numbers in English, Spanish and sign language.
